JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Estimator (Flooring Industry)

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Work Setup: Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior estimators in reviewing project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and RFMS Measure.
• Utilize Simpro for project management, estimating workflows, and job tracking as required.
• Maintain accuracy in measurements, calculations, and documentation according to project requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate with senior estimators to resolve discrepancies and clarify project details.
• Organize and maintain records of project estimates, takeoffs, and supporting documentation.
• Support value engineering initiatives and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation of competitive bid proposals that align with client expectations and project scopes.
• Stay informed on flooring materials, installation methods, and market pricing trends to improve estimating accuracy.
• Ensure estimates align with project profitability targets and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–4 years experience in construction estimating, preferably within the flooring or construction industry.
• Experience in the flooring industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Simpro is required.
• Experience using RFMS Measure is required.
• Familiarity with PlanSwift and Bluebeam or similar construction estimating tools.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
