Position: Industrial Designer
Location: Quezon City | 7AM to 4PM, Monday to Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Industrial Designer to support an Australian-based company specializing in commercial office furniture and acoustic workspace solutions. This role focuses on the design and development of acoustic phone booths, modular meeting booths, PET acoustic panels, and ceiling systems, ensuring all outputs are functional, manufacturable, and aligned with commercial and architectural requirements. The ideal candidate has strong experience in 3D modelling, CAD drafting, and design for manufacturing, with the ability to translate technical specifications and client requirements into practical, production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret client enquiries from technical drawings, sketches, and written specifications
- Apply a solutions-based approach to custom design requests from sales and client teams
- Design and develop acoustic products such as phone booths, meeting pods, wall panels, and ceiling systems
- Create 2D CAD drawings and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability
- Support product development initiatives and ensure all design files are maintained and updated in an organized manner
- Prepare technical drawings for quotations, production, and job signoffs
- Program production jobs accurately and efficiently using relevant software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Aspan, Enroute, and TPS Digital Cutting
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, engineering, and design teams to ensure design feasibility and execution
- Ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, acoustic performance, and manufacturing requirements
- Maintain documentation, design libraries, and revision control of all files
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in industrial design, drafting, or manufacturing/fabrication environments
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office
- Experience in CNC programming and/or CAD drafting is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with CNC software such as Aspan and Enroute is a plus
- Solid understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Experience in joinery, cabinetmaking, furniture manufacturing, or architectural interiors is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
